Protecting Your Wandering Cat

Are you a cat owner?  If you are, you know that cats love to roam around your house and also like to sneak outside.  If you have a yard, your cat's predisposition to wander may not be that big of a deal, but if you don't have a gated outdoor space, this may be cause for concern.

In order to protect your pet, it is advised that you try to keep it indoors as much as possible.  When you open your doors, be extra careful so your cat does not sneak outside of your home.  You may also consider keeping your cat on a leash if you're opening your door so it does not run away and when you have to transport your pet, consider placing your cat in a carrier.

Another wise idea is to invest in a collar with a visible ID that displays your name, phone number, and address.  This way, if your cat happens to wander away from your home, people who find it will have a way to get in touch with you and will also be able to return your pet to your home.
