Pet Requiem Staff Dr. Wendy McCulloch

Dr. Wendy McCulloch

Owner

Dr. Wendy McCulloch obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Florida and studied Veterinary Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine at the Chi Institute near Gainesville, Florida. After completing a veterinary internship at the Animal Medical Center in NYC and working for several years at an animal hospital on the Jersey Shore, she founded Pet Requiem. While caring for her clients, she discovered that there was a real need and demand for in-home end of life care services and a holistic approach to pet care and treatment.

She founded Pet Requiem in 2009 to be there for pets approaching the end of their lives and give them the utmost compassion, comfort and care. It's become her mission to offer pet owners a compassionate hand during what may be a harrowing time of anxiety and grief. Following the shock of a terminal diagnosis, an owner often needs time to digest the news and evaluate the situation. A hasty decision to euthanize based on anticipatory grief and suffering could be a source of regret and guilt for a lifetime. She evaluates every situation and allows the owners to care for their pets ensuring their companion's final days are as pain-free and tranquil as possible.
