Administration of life-saving solutions intravenously (in the vein) may be indicated in cases of shock, dehydration, and blood loss. Intravenous indwelling catheters with fluid pumps, which deliver calculated drug dosages, are frequently utilized. Blood, plasma, substitute oxygen carrying blood products, and plasma extenders are available if needed. We stock blood products for daytime clinics to use in emergency situations as well.
