Tips to Reduce Dog Shedding

If you are the proud owner of a dog, one issue that you may encounter over and over again is that your pet sheds a lot. When this happens, your furniture, clothing and other day-to-day necessities can become covered in your dog's hair and you may find that unsightly.

To reduce shedding, try:

Brushing your pet regularly. Many veterinarians report that regular brushing is the best thing you can do to keep your home free of unnecessary pet hair. Additionally, regular brushing will keep your pets coat softer and cleaner.

Checking your pet's diet.  It is said that your dog's coat is a reflection of what it is eating. Therefore, feed your dog high quality food with good sources of protein.

Bathing your dog.  This is a great tip to follow, especially in the summer months when dogs tend to do most of their shedding.  By bathing your dog, you can rinse away hair that is shedding so it does not end up in your home.
